Tara Garwood (Artistic Director)
 
Tara is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, Screen Actors’ Guild, and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Tara graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Music Theatre from Jacksonville University, where she received the Excellence in Performance: Outstanding Music Theatre Major Award. Tara is also a member of the Society of American Fight Directors as a recognized Actor/Combatant with training in unarmed, knife and rapier/dagger. She is an Artistic Associate with Chesapeake Shakespeare Company. Local credits include: Violet in “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka”*, Libby in “Tale of a West Texas Marsupial Girl” (Kennedy Center); Leslie in “Luna Park” (CenterStage); Desdemona in “Desdemona, a play about a handkerchief”, Miranda in "The Tempest" (Baltimore Shakespeare Festival); Harriet/Kate in “An Experiment with an Air Pump” (Journeymen Theatre Ensemble); Alice in “Wonderland Alice” (Studio SecondStage), Julia in “Two Gentlemen of Verona”, Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet” (Maryland Shakespeare Festival); Rosamund in "The Robber Bridegroom" (American Century Theatre); Thersites in "Troilus and Cressida"**, Luciana in “Comedy of Errors” (Chesapeake Shakespeare Company). Film: Judith in "Women's Studies" (due out Summer 2008); Girlfriend #2 in “The Visiting”; Charles Street Theater Girl in John Waters’ “Cecil B. DeMented”; Ariel in “Full Moon Fables”; Andrea in “Trading Spouses”*** (Restless Window Productions). Tara has also taught with Musical Theater Center, Bethesda Academy of Performing Arts, Maryland Shakespeare Festival, and Quince Orchard High School, and served as Assistant Director for Isabelle Anderson of Shakespeare Theatre Company.

Directing credits include "Blood Sweat & Fears" (an evening of the Grand Guignol one-acts The Lighthouse Keepers, Tics, and The Final Kiss) and "For Boston"* (also co-writer) with Molotov Theatre Group, segments of the Best of Kimtom International Clown Festival** and Festival Closing Ceremonies shows at the Oriental Arts Center in Shanghai with Tomfoolery Entertainment, "The Merchant of Venice" with Maryland Shakespeare Festival’s Riotous Youth Company, "The Living Years", (world premier staged reading) with Baltimore Playwright’s Festival, "A Midsummer Night’s Dream", with Shakespeare and Company’s Fall Festival of Shakespeare, and "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" at the University of Massachusetts. Acting credits include "The Passion of the Crawford" (post-show “Berserk Room”) and "The Long Christmas Ride Home" with The Studio Theatre, "Dog Sees God" (u/s) with The Studio Theatre SecondStage, "High Noon" and "Adonis" with the Madcap Winter Carnival of New Works, "Cautionary Tales for Adults" with Kennedy Center Page to Stage Festival, "Two Gentlemen of Verona" and "Romeo and Juliet" with Maryland Shakespeare Festival, "As You Like It" with American Studio Theater, "The Taming of the Shrew" and "King John" (u/s) with Shakespeare & Company, "The Forest" (workshop production for Moscow Art main stage production) with Moscow Art Theatre School USA, among others.  Screen work includes, "Live Free or Die Hard", "Shooter", "John Adams", and a training video for the Pentagon.  Lucas graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and studied with Shakespeare & Company, and the Moscow Art Theatre School in Boston and Moscow. He is an Associate Member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and a member of Actors’ Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild.

Alex Zavistovich (Managing Director)
 
Alex holds a BA in Philosophy from The College of William & Mary, is an Equity Membership Candidate, a member of the Screen Actors Guild, a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists financial core and a recognized Actor/Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors. Alex has been a company member of Landless Theatre Company, and was a founding member of the NobleHeart Repertory Company. He is a seasoned senior executive in the fields of publishing, advertising and public relations, and most recently served as the Director of Operations for the Chesapeake Bay Floating Theatre, a 501c(3) professional theatre in Indian Head, MD. Alex has also served as Vice President of Strategic Communications Group, a business-to-business advertising and public relations for high-technology government contracting companies in the mid-Atlantic. In addition to being a professional working actor, Alex is an independent media consultant, developing marketing and communications strategies for new business-to-business and business-to-consumer service providers. He served as an Intelligence Operations Specialist for Naval Intelligence Command and has won awards of excellence from the American Society of Business Press Editors and the International Association of Business Communicators. He has been nominated for Washington Area Theater Community Honors awards in the categories of Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical and Outstanding Fight Choreography.
